Gressan - The town of Gressan

Gressan has a population of 2731 inhabitants (Gressanesi o Gressanins) and a surface of 2.544 square kilometers thus showing a population density of 107,35 inhabitants per square kilometer. It rises 626 metres above the sea level.

Population: The municipality of Gressan had a popolation of 2.298 inhabitants accordingly to the results of the national census made in 1991. After the national census made in 2001 the population was 2731 inhabitants, thus showing during the years 1991 - 2001 a percentual variation of 18,84% inhabitants.

The inhabitants are distributed in 1.222 families with an average of 2,23 people per family.

The place: The territory of the municipality lies between 575 and 3.090 metres above sea level.

The altimetric spawn is thus of 2.515 metres.

Work and workers:There are 46 industrial firms employing 206 people that are the 26,31% of the total of the workers. There are 54 service firms employing 121 people that are the 15,45% of the total of the workers. There are also 150 firms employing 370 people that are the 47,25% of the total of the workers. There are also 27 administrative offices emplying 86 workers that are the 10,98% of the total of the workers.

There is a total of 783 workers, that are the 28,67% of the inhabitants of the municipality.
