Sarre - The town of Sarre

Sarre has a population of 4175 inhabitants (Sarroleins) and a surface of 2.810 square kilometers thus showing a population density of 148,58 inhabitants per square kilometer. It rises 625 metres above the sea level.

Population: The municipality of Sarre had a popolation of 3.702 inhabitants accordingly to the results of the national census made in 1991. After the national census made in 2001 the population was 4175 inhabitants, thus showing during the years 1991 - 2001 a percentual variation of 12,78% inhabitants.

The inhabitants are distributed in 1.839 families with an average of 2,27 people per family.

The place: The territory of the municipality lies between 591 and 3.059 metres above sea level.

The altimetric spawn is thus of 2.468 metres.

Work and workers:There are 96 industrial firms employing 472 people that are the 48,66% of the total of the workers. There are 57 service firms employing 141 people that are the 14,54% of the total of the workers. There are also 81 firms employing 241 people that are the 24,85% of the total of the workers. There are also 34 administrative offices emplying 116 workers that are the 11,96% of the total of the workers.

There is a total of 970 workers, that are the 23,23% of the inhabitants of the municipality.
